With consumer prices up nearly 8 percent last month and American families paying upwards of $4 per gallon of gasoline, Republican Leader of the Ways and Means Worker and Family Support Subcommittee Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) outlined a strategy to combat skyrocketing fuel costs.

In an op-ed for the Elkhart Truth, Rep. Walorski warned against Democrats’ assault on American-made energy:

• “Prices started skyrocketing long before Russia’s heinous and unprovoked war on Ukraine. With gas well above $4 per gallon across Michiana, Hoosier families, farmers, and small businesses are suffering from the consequences of President Joe Biden’s full-scale assault on American-made energy.”
• “We could flip the switch today and end our reliance on foreign adversaries by rolling back Biden’s executive orders, restarting the Keystone XL pipeline, fast-tracking natural gas exports, and expediting the approval of fracking, pipelines and other energy sources to take an ‘all-of-the above’ approach to energy independence.”
