Brady: American Families Pay the Price of Biden’s War on Energy

“It is frustrating to see the President continue to attack our energy sources here in the U.S. while crippling our allies overseas,” Ways and Means Republican Leader Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) said in a conversation with Neil Cavuto on “Cavuto Coast to Coast” on Fox Business. Discussing the Biden Administration’s war on American-made American-made energy that has resulted in skyrocketing energy costs, Rep. Brady said, “At the end of the day, our families and our workers pay a deep price for it.”

Democrats’ ‘War on Energy’ and President Biden’s failed attempt to beg OPEC to produce more oil has left American consumers vulnerable to skyrocketing energy prices. Now, the Biden Administration is begging Venezuela for oil.

“I don’t want to see OPEC cut production, but this is a pretty predictable result of Joe Biden’s Green New Deal policies and his low standing among countries in the world. With President Biden’s thinking, American energy workers in the Gulf Coast are the enemy, but potentially a dictator like [Venezuelan leader] Maduro who is criticized for killing and torturing his political enemies could be an ally.

“The President has got everything backwards. At the end of the day, our families and our workers pay a deep price for it.”

Instead of unleashing American energy production, President Biden is making the U.S. more dependent on foreign oil.

“The President’s being so hypocritical about this. The fact of the matter is, our American energy industries and workers want to produce more. Even Europe has conceded that nuclear energy and natural gas is clean energy. This White House still fights that notion and as a result we are vulnerable.

“I just noticed, in addition to negotiations or discussions with Venezuela, the President and the White House are considering limiting energy exports from the U.S., which would be even a crueler blow for Europe and our allies who are trying to withstand and withdraw from Russia’s energy dependence.

“It is frustrating to see the President continue to attack our energy sources here in the U.S., while crippling our allies overseas. All of this is a predictable but a dangerous outcome.”

President Biden’s disastrous policies will only result in skyrocketing energy costs, failing energy grids, and an increase in energy poverty.

“As long as this President is in the White House, we’re going to continue to see this low standing around the world. You can see the attack on American energy.

“I think a Republican House of Representatives is going to change that equation somewhat. With the power of the purse, we’re going to insist on doing more American-Made energy, cutting those permits, and using the power of the purse as leverage to do that.”
